Sasha And John Digweed – NRTHRN XPSR (Reconstructed and Remixed) by Cult Tour

Cult Tour hailing from Mexico City delivers first from a series of releases in which artist portraits albums from past Decades with a strong reminiscence on to what was at some point the stronghold of a new era on music, when Sasha and Digweed first performed in Manchester’s Hacienda they said: “Well we just used to go up there at weekends. It would have been about 1987 when I first started going there. We’d drive up maybe once a month. In 87 it was the rise of the whole jacking house thing. ‘Jack Your Body’ was at number one and those very first Chicago house compilations were being released.”

so then a New Era of excitement and musical Travellings and projects that captivated our minds for almost 2 decades we now have the chance of make a little pause and get back to some of these old day vibes…

Part 1 of an upcoming series of remixes and reconstructions from some of the most influencing albums and tracks on our career.

Cult Tour

All the stories have this part, is that part where you the main character struggles to whatever live you know to survive or to transcend, i have wasted so many lives in this life that i might not get a chance to reincarnation, this music talks about my life and my walk through this world..

in 2012 i wrote:

“this project is an experiment, one of those that comes out from the heart, we intend nothing more that to share our art, our point of view to the world, this world is fast growing and changing and we all want to contribute, to make a difference, We, as one, try not to be perfect, but to transcend, this musical effort join us together, to celebrate freedom, we wish more peace in the world and certainly more music, this is our way to changue the world.”

so i guess it was intended to be a join effort, a way to collaborate between musicians, never have worked never will, whoever i do have a lot to think about Cult Tour and the real meaning of having this open source moniker.. a second try on the magical technologies of internet came and we tried to splice ourselves through collaborations with artists but again it didn’t worked..
Cult Tour is a project created to tell stories as well to created soundscapes to lift your spirit and soul a soothing place you can call home…
